25th April 2006 - Another Spurious Claim Resolved On a recent visit to the new Barton Pool, the deputy manager, David Hunt, reported to us that their Swimguard System has already helped to refute a spurious claim. The pool, which had only opened 12 days earlier, had already had a claim of a swimmer being attacked! After retrieving the video footage for the time and date of the 'alleged' assault David was able to clearly show that no such attack had taken place. The 'victim' withdrew their claim in the face of this irrefutable evidence   13th April 2006 - Barton Swimming Pool Opens On Thursday Barton Pool, Oxfords newest swimming pool opened its doors to the public, on time and on budget; a great accomplishment for SDC Builders Ltd who ran the project. Barton Pool is also the latest swimming pool to install the Swimguard System. Due to the size and shape of the pool 8 underwater cameras were required to ensure 100% coverage of the below water area, rather than the usual 6. To compliment the below water cameras 4 above water cameras were also installed in the pool hall; the combination of above and below water cameras mean that should there be an incident the management will have a full record of all activity. All images from the cameras are displayed and recorded at the Swimguard Console, located in the managers office, this allows the management team to keep an eye on the pool hall whilst continuing with their many duties.
